About the Jenny and Benny Books
"Friends" is the first book in the Jenny and Benny collection of books for
preschool and kindergarten children. It introduces Jenny and Benny, and
tells the story of how they meet and become friends. Benny is in the park
playing with his colorful ball. He kicks the ball hard and high. The ball gets
stuck in a tree. Benny can’t climb the tree, so Jenny helps him. She climbs
up the tree and recovers the ball. They play ball together and share a meal.
Jenny and Benny become friends.

Child development experts recommend that adults speak with their children
in the same manner that they want their children to speak. These experts
recommend using simple and complete sentences. They also recommend
for the adults not to limit their vocabulary intentionally when speaking with
children. Children learn new words best when they hear them used
repeatedly in appropriate context.

The Jenny and Benny collection of picture books are created with the above
as a guide and inspiration. The books are designed to teach preschool and
kindergarten children useful words, concepts and actions. The text is
comprised of simple and complete sentences, using suitable vocabulary.
The illustrations entertain with their colorful and delightful contents, and the
two lovable characters of Jenny and Benny.

According to child development experts, children can benefit from
acquiring a solid foundation of applied learning during their formative years.
The Jenny and Benny books for preschool and kindergarten children are
designed to contribute to such constructive learning.
